  • Mission First, Jesus Always - We invite you to prayerfully consider how God is leading you to be engaged in His mission here. Please fill out a Connection Card (available on the information table in the Narthex) and return it to the designated mailbox. Pick up a new FLC t-shirt, too! You can also revisit or watch any of the “Mission First, Jesus Always” sermons on our YouTube channel that introduced our renewed mission emphasis.  
  • Adult Bible study opportunities: Tuesday May 5 & May 19 - Lessons of the Fig Tree from the Gospel of Matthew. Sundays in May: How do you pick and choose what to do? Join us for Competing Priorities - a study based on the book of Haggai. 
  • Ascension is Thursday May 14th! Join us for an evening service on May 14th at 6:30pm to celebrate our Lord’s ascension. What does it mean for us today that Jesus is the King who rules and reigns over everything? Invite a friend and be encouraged through teaching, prayer, and worship. 
  • Sewing Group - An organizational meeting for this new group will be Monday, May 18th at 10am in the chapel. Come and join for fellowship and sewing!! Contact: Marsha Johnson.
  • Throughout the spring the Ladies Guild will be collecting non-perishable food items for Under His Wings food Pantry. A donation box is located in the narthex.
  • Scholarships for Camp Luther! If your young person is interested in attending an event at Camp Luther this summer, please contact Suzanne Wilson about the scholarship opportunities that are available through the Ladies Guild.                     
  • Save the Date! 2026 VBS May 31st - June 4th - Rainforest Falls! Join your child for a family style meal at 4:45-5:15pm followed by VBS - 5:30-7:45pm. You can access the VBS Amazon wish list and Registration at: V.B.S. | First Lutheran Church 
  • All Q2 Mission Funds (blue offering envelopes or gifts given specifically to the Mission Fund on Vanco) will benefit the Belize Mission Society. Paul Dreesen will be giving a short presentation about the Belize Mission Society following worship on Sunday May 24th .
